A critical part in making the virtual driving experience as realistic as possible is the realism that the controls provide. With real life brake pedal forces exceeding 100 kg and the physical steering effort being in excess of 14 Newton meters of torque, high quality custom controls can be developed by Heusinkveld Engineering to match the physical effort it takes to drive a real car. I also look at more mass market products such as enhancements for existing wheel and pedal units or affordable wheel, pedal or shifter units.
